I think we all know that Autumn comes along suddenly and we are overwhelmed with pumpkin spiced latte in cafes and the warm and cosy atmosphere. I know I am, but then again I try to keep a little bit of Autumn in my life every day of the year hehe, I bet you wouldn’t have guessed! *Wink Wink*
So if you’re feeling up for some Autumn days out this year, providing they are safe to do so then maybe you will enjoy this post about my ideas for Autumn days out whatever the weather!
Pumpkin patch
Yes it’s super cliché to speak about a typical Autumn day out to the pumpkin patch but let’s face it, if you are a fan of pumpkins and Autumn days out, the pumpkin patch will likely make the list! It is a fun filled day out usually choosing your pumpkins wandering around a field of bright colours or a farm house/tent full of pumpkins of all shapes and sizes. It can be so romantic but also fun for anyone of any age! I know it’s one thing I look forward to most each year. Fingers crossed this year we are able to get to our local patch considering government guidance.
Coffee shops
I know it doesn’t sound like much of a day out, but my perfect place to be during a crisp Autumn day is sat nice and cosy in my favourite coffee shop sipping an Autumnal flavoured drink and tucking into a delicious dessert whilst either reading, working or catching up with a friend or family member. It can be a great solo day out or with your favourite people! It’s definitely the perfect call for an Autumn date too!
A Cosy meal
Although you can go for a meal year round, any day no matter the weather or occasion, there is something about finding a cosy restaurant or pub and heading out during a chilly Autumn day. It’s a nice way to get out the house but with promised cosy, warm and nice atmosphere alongside (hopefully) great warming food to fill your soul with goodness and lift your spirits. There are some wonderful places in Birmingham to get some delicious food whilst enjoying a cosy atmosphere!
A colourful walk in the park
Yes again this sounds like a typical cliché, romantic Autumn day out but it really can be a beautiful addition to a wonderful day. Walking in your local park or forest whilst taking In all of the beautiful sites, colours and nature at it’s finest at such a raw season is so refreshing and can really give you that breather you need during such a difficult, uncertain time in life.
Shopping spree
Again this can be an any day, anytime kind of day out but when I say Autumn day out kinda shopping I mean Autumn clothes shopping, Halloween decor shopping, Autumn essentials and even some well deserved treats. My partner and I love having a day out each year in Birmingham city centre and visiting Forbidden planet to get some new wands to add to our Harry Potter collection! It’s so much fun and suits Autumn well since it’s a witchy, wizard kinda vibe.
