My first homemade wreath!

The first time I made a wreath was a wonderful evening! It was creative, fun, beautiful and just made me so happy.

I made dried oranges, apples and cinnamon pot pouri and decided it would be wonderful to add them to my wreath to make it look more rustic whilst giving my home a beautiful christmasy aroma.

I made pompoms from scratch and thought it would be lovely to add them to the wreath to make it even more of a unique personal creation.

I used a ready made circle wooden template just so I could get into the fun for the first time making but I can’t wait to try and make others that are from scratch and maybe some green leafy ones too!

I also added some faux autumn leaves and roses, acorns, pine cones and candy canes. I love the rustic and autumnal look!

Our First couple Christmas!

Our first Christmas together was really tough. There were people making life difficult and we shed so many tears, however we also had so much laughter and fun. It was the start of many more wonderful festive times together.

We had and still own these matching reindeer jumpers and I love them. I bought them as a surprise and made sure he wore it with me hehe. He secretly loved it! Look at his face hehe!

For our first Christmas we decided to put together a gingerbread house and make tasty treats for ourselves and family to enjoy over the Christmas season.

For the first time making one we decided to use ready made gingerbread pieces and use our icing to construct it and decorate. It was soooo much fun!

Last year we made our own from scratch and it was so awesome so we have to go one step further each year hehe.

The most wonderful family get together

This family get together was last year at my uncle and aunts (godparents) home. Mum, my partner and I made a huge feast of food and took it with us. We all listened to music, drank bubbly, spent time looking at the fish in the pond, playing with my nieces and nephews and being merry. My uncle was recovering from cancer so it made us cherish the Christmas we spent with him knowing how different the situation could’ve been.
It was the kind of family gathering you’d see in a perfect Christmas movie scene. It was just happiness and love and I will cherish it forever.

A beautiful Christmas evening at Cafe Nero

One year my beautiful mum and I decided to pop to a local coffee shop a short walk away from where I was house sitting. We got our delicious Christmas flavoured hot chocolates and treats and sat down in these comfy chairs near the window. As we sat chatting all cosy, it began to snow heavily and it was one of the most beautiful moments I’ve had. The Christmas lights were shining and the snowflakes were glistening. It was truly magical and Mum and I talk about it all the time.

Festive Fun and happiness

Kiss under the mistletoe

After ages of having ‘kiss under mistletoe’ on my bucket list, my partner and I finally found some at a thrift store/market we visited.

It was hanging in the doorway and I just couldn’t miss the chance! It was so beautiful hehe. Super cheesey but hey ho.

Meeting Santa

This day was wonderful! We were feeling down and needed to pop up to the local store. On our way in we were greeted by a gentlemen about to walk into the shop and he was Santa!!!

We had to stop him and ask for a picture as it was just the light of our day. It made us smile so much and it truly was what we needed to lift our spirits and remind us what Christmas is about.

Snowy and Festive

One of my fondest memories was a festive December full of heavy snow. We had a couples night having our friends over for games and food and the next day we decided to go to our local carvery and walk through the park. It was glorious to witness the white blanket that covered the ground and trees. It gave off a beautiful and warming feeling, almost like being a child again. It was breathtaking and we had such a beautiful day out and taking selfies!

Snow and Smiles

What are some of your most cherished moments and memories over Winter and Christmas time?

Stay wonderful!
