Favourite Christmas songs | Blogmas Day 5!

I am a huge lover of Christmas music and am always excited to hear new music and songs from different artists. It’s so wonderful to hear the progression from traditional music to modern music and it makes a change from the everyday generic popular songs. I love the old Christmas songs so much as they bring me joy, love and a lot of nostalgia. There is nothing like baking homemade treats, having candles lit, the Christmas tree lights on and a good Christmas music playlist! The bells used and the beautiful lyrics always melt my heart and get me into the festive spirit for sure. Here is a small list of some of my favourite Christmas songs! Most of them are by my favourite singer songwriter ‘Sia’.

As some may know I have a subsidiary diploma in Music performance and business and have been a musician since high school years. My main instrument is my voice however I also know how to play little guitar, bass and ukulele. I am a singer songwriter and am getting back into music now that my self confidence is improving!

Music for me is an outlet. It is freedom, passion, happiness, life and energy and all of these things come into the Christmas season and festive spirit! Music has brought so many people together and I am proud to see it continue to do so for so many people struggling.

I have loved the timing of my plans and the blogmas day as I am attending an Alzheimers Research UK concert of hope in Birmingham city centre at a church. We will be singing carols and watching performances from ‘The Walnuts”, Rock choir Birmingham and others including scientific speakers! I’m taking my mum there as a surprise so I can not wait to see her face when we approach the church and she sees it is in aid of Dementia awareness. As you may have seen by my “Share the orange” post, Dementia is a big part of our lives having my uncle passed away this year with it and having two very ill family members with it too. This concert is going to a beautiful festive uplift and I cannot wait to sing, smile and learn as well as support this amazing charity!

What are your favourite Christmas songs?
Stay wonderful!
