Galentines & Palentines get together | Valentines

Pamper & Chill

Who doesn’t love a good chill with family and friends? If you’re anything like me, you love relaxing and feeling pampered whilst sipping a glass of bubbly or tea and chit chatting about shizz.

I think Valentines is a great way to celebrate friendships and other relationships besides just partners and spouses etc. It’s a great way to have a celebration of your gals and pals, after all any relationship deserves a chin chin.

Sooooo…

Face Masks & Skincare...

When you think about a little pamper get together, you usually think about face masks with cucumbers on your eyes and nicely wrapped in a white fluffy dressing gown and slippers. Well everyones pamper is different; I most certainly am the face mask kinda gal! Maybe not the cucumbers and fluffy gown although that does sound dreamy.

Being realistic when I have friends over for pamper nights, we usually end up using one product and just catchup during the rest.. It’s super anti-climatic. This get together is different! Yay!

We used different masks for different skin types and I showcased my skincare ranges also explaining what each products were for. These products included the CBD range Revolution Skincare, E.L.F Cosmetics, Naturally radiant by Superdrug, Simple Skincare by Superdrug and Vitamin E range by Superdrug  and Alex Steinherr ranges.

Home Spa-ness

Why not bring the spa treatments into the comfort of your own home? I’m talking Foot spa, massage chairs, massage bars and that good stuff.

So, we loved using some ace products to soothe our cracked feet and achey muscles! It was fun, soothing and we all felt super pampered. My mum gives some badass massages with our LUSH massage bars!

LUSH kindly sent me a gifted package containing all of these above! I showcased these at my Palentines get together and everyone loved seeing, smelling and trying them! It was an amazing set of products to show everyone.

Games

If you’re a gal or a pal and love games, this part is grand! Remember Valentines celebrations are not just for girls. Men and boys can love and celebrate relationships on this day too!

I’m a beauty and pamper obsessed girl who looooves games sooo much. Remember this celebration isn’t just the generic stuff, we got you all covered.

We love party games like Jackbox, Headsup, Cards Against Humanity, Exploding Kittens, Cards, Cranium and more. During gatherings we usually go for the quicker games that we can all laugh at as opposed to board games but all kinds are great for different groups of people. If you wanna get cheeky you can also play some Truth or Dare, Would you rather or some naughty valentines themed ones. Your choice! After all isn’t Valentines about love *Winky face*

Food & Drink

Any gathering needs some good grub and beverages right? And if you know me, you’ll know I love putting on some ace buffet’s along with some selections of drink!

Mum always used to put on lots of food at gatherings and It most certainly had rubbed off on me. So since this is Valentines themed, we’ve made some love-y dove-y goodness and the guests thoroughly enjoyed tasting the creations whilst being super chill.

We love doing cocktails for our guests to try and what better than some Valentines themed ones? Keeping it fun hehe.

Homemade goodies with a valentines twist in the decorations and flavourings.
Fun making heart shaped little cakes!
A good curry is perfect for gatherings.
Chocolate cake, vanilla cake and some ginger nut and oreo truffles.
Buffet food is grand for get togethers! Bread, garlic bread, gyoza, chips and onion rings.
Homemade bread is always a winner in my eyes.

Other bits and bobs

This get together was great! It ended up being a small low key gathering and it was just right. We ended up helping our friend exfoliate her skin, moisturise and then fake tan her whole body.. WHOLE BODY. Yes that’s right! We had to help scrub her back, moisturise the bits she couldn’t reach and then fake tan. It was just the perfect idea of Valentines. It was wacky, fun, we had some deep conversation and then put the world right in our eyes. Good food, good conversation, beauty products, relaxing and that friend who walks round stark naked with no shame! PERFECT PALENTINES.

What do you love doing for Valentines or Palentines?
Is a get together your kind of thing or would you prefer a night out?

Stay wonderful!
