Summer is nearly here and after the last year, we are all looking forward to it just that little bit more. Longing for the sun shining, being able to relax in the garden with loved ones, a glass of wine to hand while you have some food cooking on the BBQ for you in the background to the sound of laughter from your children all getting along and playing happily. Sounds like perfection right? Well, we need to make this summer the best and spend time in the garden with loved ones, appreciating the little moments. Here are some different ways to make your garden stand out this year so you can happily relax in it all day.

Things for the kids to play with

Upgrading some of the children’s playthings this year is a must. There are so many choices and different playsets available that can make them enjoy being outside and not stuck glued to screens and computers during the summer months wasting the summer indoors. Most available play areas now come with a treehouse, slide, swing, and all other sorts of wonderful play additions. They are sturdy and last a long long time so it is certainly an investment. You could also have a sandpit so they can play and build sandcastles in the garden without having to travel to the seaside.

Grow your own food

One way to make your garden stand out is to grow your own vegetables and fruit. You don’t need to have a green thumb or much space. When you start small and you can see how it goes, do some research and add more things as and when you are ready. Some of the easier ones to start with are strawberries, tomatoes, and fruit trees. Fruit trees tend to come already grown partially so all you need to do is plant it and look after it and before you know it there will be fruit growing. How perfect would that be if you fancied some apples with your breakfast and you can just nip in your garden and grab one?

Getting an outdoor stove

Having a garden stove like the esse garden stoves will be a wonderful addition to your garden. When it is in stove mode, the hot plate can be swapped over for the grill so it makes an ideal solution for keeping nice and warm as the cooler summer evenings set in but you want to stay outdoors. By having a high-quality outdoor stove with BBQ features you will make all your friends jealous and desperate to come over! The stoves have hotplates and grills for fabulous wood-fired cooking to make your garden parties stand out.

By looking at upgrading your garden and getting it to look the best this summer with all the little extras which will make your summer days feel like a holiday. You can even start preparing now by gardening, getting rid of weeds, mowing the grass, and keeping the garden tidy you will be giving yourself less work to do when the time comes.

Thank you for reading! I think we can all say we are looking forward to the year progressing and the Summer (hopefully) being a better time in terms of the pandemic and life in general.

Stay wonderful!
