Is sustainable fashion something that you can get behind? If the answer is yes, you’ve come to the right place! Recently I’ve been having many wardrobe clear out sessions. It has been a great way to start a new year. I decided to put some of the great quality, rarely worn items online for sale, and donate the rest to charity. So, I wanted to share with you some of the ways you can become more sustainable. Here are some of the ways you can embrace sustainability.
I’ve been using Vinted for a while now as a way to be more sustainable. I’m always filling up charity bags and donating them to charity shops, but then I came across Vinted and I thought it was a way to give back and also create circular fashion.
With Vinted, you can earn money back from your clothes by selling them to others. This in turn creates that circular fashion I was talking about! It’s us recycling our clothes and others using this service to buy pre loved clothes. The cycle continues!
Another site I came across was Vestiaire collective. I’ve known about it for a while, however I never considered selling my clothes on the site. The site is a pre-loved authenticated designer product service and therefore is a little pricier than Vinted or other high street brand pre loved sellers. I sold my designer coat on here and it was a simple, easy and sustainable process!
Preworn is a great site for affordable and sustainable fashion! They have a huge variety of branded clothing and are a reliable service providing good quality second hand clothing. The website is easy to navigate and the clothes are reliably sourced. The images provided on the website are similar to Vinted, in that the clothes aren’t styled by a model, but looking past that, the product prices are great for branded fashion. Being in a position to sell your unwanted, good quality clothes is great! It’s not only good for sustainability, but it allows you to earn some money, whilst offering affordable prices to others too. The same is for being a consumer of preloved brands too; When we can’t afford to pay full price in shops, or if we just fancy finding sustainable fashion, pre loved services offer us the chance to find our own style, on a budget!

I am obsessed with buying clothes from Vinted! It’s such a good feeling giving clothes a new home, I buy more second-hand than I do from the high street now x

I’m a huge fan of Vinted, not just for me but for my daughter as well. And we often trawl our local charity shops as well. You really don’t have to buy new all the time, there are some absolute bargains to be had if you look.

Great Post. I sell things I no longer want on ebay but I’m definitely addicted to buying from vinted, especially the cutest clothes for my daughter.
