Valentines is a time of love, whether that be love of family, friends, a partner or yourself! So if you want some feel good reads that will spark some love, lust and twirly-ness, these books are what you need!

Ali Hazelwood books

This may be biased but I adore Ali Hazelwood and have read all of her books so far! Her writing makes me feel twirly, a little bit naughty and I get butterflies in my stomach. They are comfort reads that I could read again, and again, and again…

Her books include:

The Love Hypothesis

The love hypothesis is such an awesome book full of twists, turns and butterfly inducing moments. It’s fun, quirky and relatable and I adore it!

Love on the brain

I read this book recently and let’s put it this way… It got me in the mood! It is a wonderful love story full of misunderstanding, hope, love, friendship, with an addition of sadness. It is definitely one of my favourites of hers alongside ‘The Love Hypothesis’!

Stuck with you

This was a lovely little read alongside the other two STEMinist novellas below. It’s not my favourite book of hers however the premise was cute, funny and did make those butterflies appear.

Under one roof

This is perhaps my favourite of the two STEMinist novellas ‘Stuck with you’ and ‘Below Zero’. It was funny, simplistic, relatable and weirdly cosy. I could imagine myself in the situation and it made it all very realistic and saucy! I certainly felt like I needed an icepack after this one to cool me down..

Below Zero

Speaking of ice packs, this novella is another of those little ones written by the wonderful Ali Hazelwood. It’s so brilliantly her, with it’s romantic twists and I did enjoy this short read which kept me company during a train journey. It’s not as good as ‘Under one roof’ but it got the juices flowing and temperature rising despite being about freezing settings!

*** Ali’s new novel is coming out this year! 2023! Contain your excitement!

Safety in numbers - Sophie Penhaligon

This book was a lovely read. Yet again, you may notice a pattern here since this is another STEM themed romance. I actually went into this book not knowing a lot about it and saw the cover, read the summary and thought I’d give it a go. I’m so glad I did. It’s a lovely read and includes disability, struggle, grief, real life relatable issues, romance and hope. The characters are lovely and the story is just a really nice set of events. The ending is beautiful.

This book also gave me those butterflies and was slightly steamy, so perfect for those valentines vibes!

Insatiable - Daisy Buchanan

I read this book a while ago but really enjoyed it. It’s so realistic and yet adventurous at the same time. The main character is so relatable and goes on such a journey throughout the book, facing changes in her job, friendship group, place within her life and even sexuality. There are a number of flirty, saucy scenes and most certainly not for the faint hearted. So if you want to get sweaty, this books a good’n!

Ninja school mum - Lizzie Chantree

First of all, Lizzie is just an amazing person and incredible writer. This book is just one of my absolute favourites and makes me want to unleash my badass female vibes onto the world. We go through the life of this ninja school mum who is a cool parent, mysterious figure and someone who has a deep past that comes to haunt her. She meets a rather dashing man and well, it goes from there. Many twists and anxiety inducing turns, but the saucy scenes are one for the bedroom reader!

So these have been my Feel-Good Valentine’s Day book recommendations. I hope you find happiness and inspiration in them, whether you read them near Valentines or just every other day of the year. They are sure to bring something to your world.

Thank you for reading!

Stay wonderful!
