Self-neglect is one of the first things that happens on the road to depression. Seeing everyone else as more important than you is not a good way to treat yourself. Even if you have children and are very busy, there is no reason why you should neglect yourself. If you want to be confident, less tired, and better able to make the right decisions for everyone, you have to devote a little bit of time to you, prioritize your life and work towards a brighter future for all concerned.

Become a minimalist

Becoming a minimalist has many facets. It basically means that you remove everything from your life that holds no value. That can be things, people, activities, etc. You are, in essence freeing yourself up of all negativity and things holding you back and in the past. The best way to start this process is to declutter your physical living space. Strat removing everything that no longer holds value, old newspapers, magazines, clothes shoes, all the items you no longer use, in some cases old photos which have negative connotations. The more you can remove, the lighter, freer, less anxious, and stressed you will feel. Then you can begin decluttering the rest of your life, begin distancing yourself from toxic friends and relations, stop going to events you don’t really want to go to and have no time for either. The more minimalist you can become, the more you will benefit.

Alone time

If you can become more of a minimalist, you will have more time for your family, which is important. However, what is equally important is you havering some time out to do the things you enjoy. Alonge time gives you a chance to relax, destress, and put things in perspective. If you are very busy, you need to find ways to make the most of the time you have alone. Perhaps you can learn to meditate or do some yoga. Both are great habits that allow you to embrace self-care. Also, why not enjoy a hot bath every now and again with no distractions. So ensure your partner has the kids and your phone is off. Why not watch a film you love or put on https://sportnews.in/ if you love sport. Just learn to indulge in something you enjoy, and that relaxes you.

Walking

Increasing your level of exercise is a must. Through exercise, you will feel less stressed and you will even increase that feel-good factor, as well as be physically fitter. If you haven’t exercised for a while, then walking is a great way to start. You could possibly walk to work, or at least park a little further away so you can get in more steps. Take a drive to the nearest beauty spot a couple of times a week and take a walks there, why not just walk around the block oa few times a week too. You could even walk the kids to school. Walking can be social too, so why not recruit a friend and see if you can change those coffees to walks.

Thank you so much for reading. I hope you find these tips useful on your self care journey. Remember how important prioritising self care is.

Stay wonderful!
